Ace Fashion Designer, Nikhil Mehra, the creative half of the brand, along with Shantanu has indulged in various creative collaborations to take the brand to a global platform.

Dressing up for an important occasion needs finesse. However, power dressing in the professional space has a niche of its own. In the current work from home scenario, how do you ensure growth in your career path, or even when you are resuming your professional journey? If you are pondering on how to dress for your virtual interview, who better than Nikhil to share his insights on what you can do to clinch your dream job.

First thing you notice about an interviewee.

For me, it is etiquette over dressing, always! That is the first thing I notice besides how well-groomed an individual is.

Important fashion areas to focus on while getting ready for an interview.

While one must be dressed as if they are interviewing for their dream job, in my opinion, dont over accessorize, and keep it simple.

Colors to don for maximum impact.

Individuality is your best colour! Don a colour that best exudes your personality. Having said that, I do feel that dark colours can be avoided for interviews. Personally, I would choose a more minimalistic, pastel palette.

Stylish pastels help you make a power statement

Blazers, are they in or out of fashion?

Blazers make for an impactful interview outfit and display authority, structure and, most importantly, style. These are just the attributes you need to nail that interview! In my opinion, blazers will always stay in vogue. When styling it, keep it classic. Dont go too casual as it takes away from the sophistication that a blazer conveys. Style it with well-tailored pants and an accent color shirt or turtleneck. For final touches, include minimal accessories.

Blazers exude authority, structure and style

A must-have item for the perfect interview outfit.

A watch is the perfect add-on to your interview outfit! Not only does it reflect discipline and punctuality but is also a smart way to accessorize.
