The Plan B

We at ABFRL, present stories excerpted from our internal newsletter In Touch, where we celebrate stories of our people and their contributions.

Janet Arole, AVP and Head Corporate Communications, and the Editor of In Touch Newsletter at ABFRL walks us down memory lane on her association with the Fashion and Retail industry.

Life might not always have a Plan B. It just comes and takes you along the highs and low phases. Are we then prepared when calamity strikes? This is where destiny, or luck, as we call it, plays an important role.

The pandemic has taught us an important lesson, though in a cruel manner, to take care of our health and spend time with our loved ones. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee. Go and nurture your mind, body and soul. Pay attention to your loved ones. Invest time in hobbies, friends and see where your calling is.

Maintaining good health is just no co-incidence, it involves hard work and sweat, followed with loads of patience and determination. When it comes to our personal health, how may workaholics like me dedicate time for personal sports, leisure or anything that is life beyond work? I admire some of our colleagues and leaders who are so passionate about playing at least one sport as well as maintain a healthy lifestyle despite work pressures.

Good health is the only way one can overcome any kind of challenges, be it at personal level or professional level. Unlike in business, there is no Plan B when it comes to ones own health. We have to get it right the first time!

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy!
