The very first ABFRL Awards was a testimony to this Companys commitment to and appreciation of excellence. The glittering ceremony was held in Bengaluru in July 2019 and was attended by the whos who of ABFRL as well as several stalwarts from the Aditya Birla Group and the industry.
ABFRLs Managing Director Ashish Dikshit made a speech in which he outlined the importance of acknowledging the daily pursuit towards excellence. Chandrashekhar Chavan, Chief Human Resources Officer, ABFRL spoke about the purpose of the ABFRL Awards and the processes that were followed.
The two-day event was centred around presentations on Best Practices in areas of innovation, process excellence and business performance. These nine teams were shortlisted after rigorous assessment. The final nominees for the three Team categories presented their work to an eminent jury which included several top notch industry leaders. All winners were presented the final awards by the MD Ashish Dikshit, to their utter delight.
ABFRL had invited two guest speakersindustry veterans who shared their knowledge and experience. These were Capt Raghu Raman, CEO, National Intelligence Grid and Anand Kripalu, Managing Director and CEO, Diageo India. A panel discussion with the senior management of ABFRL was a lively interactive session which yielded many insights about leadership and its challenges.
The Awards were an opportunity to celebrate and the mood was upbeat. The festivities concluded with a bang with a foot thumping performance by rap star Badshah which pulled everyone out of their seats and on to the dance floor. The audience was also treated to a spellbinding dance performance by the award-winning dance troupe Kings United, who had the crowd cheering and rocking.
The day belonged to the ABFRL; each one of whom had worked hard to achieve a measure of excellence every day. It was a day to acknowledge each others success and bond with peers. It was a day of connecting with friends and celebrating our teams. It was ABFRLs day to shine.
